Welcome!
My name is Tyler Preston, and I'm the Preston at Perform with Preston (PwP). I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) ready to help motivated clients push their performance to the next level.
Tyler Preston, MS, RD, CSCS
I started out as an avid gym-rat kind of trainer, but very quickly realized I’d be doing everyone a disservice if my clients couldn’t support their training habits outside the gym. Since then, I’ve developed my own toolbox of skills that I believe are essential for establishing an athletic lifestyle: a life where you feel your inner athlete outcompetes the social clique you surround yourself with.
I’m here to guide you toward that lifestyle. One that:
Supports your athletic endeavors, whether it’s an official 10k race or a yearly family Turkey Bowl.
Keeps you healthy from lifestyle-related illnesses, like diabetes or high blood pressure.
Sustains your independence and functionality as we fight the effects of aging.
For us to accomplish this, we are going to craft a lifestyle that delivers food and nutrition specific to you; we will work together to create a training program that targets your personal health and performance goals; and we are going to dive into the culinary world and learn to love our relationship with food. I hope you are ready because I sure am. I’ve committed my life, and will keep committing it, to people like you who have the strength to ask “How can I be my best?”
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”
— Socrates
My Approach
Nutrition
You’re never going to stop eating. It’s a simple fact. So why overcomplicate the process? Here, we believe food shouldn’t be a burden, and learning how to relieve that burden is paramount to sticking to your goals. That way, those lifelong habits you develop will consistently be the catalyst for your progress.
Exercise and Performance
We train to specialize in our personal goals for health, fitness, and performance. For you, that could be powerlifting, bodybuilding, aerobic excellence, or a healthy balance of everything.
To develop your athletic profile, we account for the essential components of athleticism: Hypertrophy, Strength, Power, Endurance, Movement IQ, Speed, Agility, and Mobility. This way, you get to show off your specialty without showing obvious weaknesses elsewhere.
Culinary
Kitchen “IQ” can turn the tides towards success. Why? Learning how to adapt recipes - so they (1) provide your specific nutrition needs, and (2) accommodate your taste preferences - means you can establish a sustainable behavior. That’s a skill that keeps on giving.
